Hello, my name is Dmitri Ivanov Petrov, I am a self-taught painter from a small town called Plovdiv, in Bulgaria. I want to share with you my story, one that I never imagined I would tell a few months ago.
For years, art has been my passion, but in my country it is almost impossible to make a living from it. Opportunities are scarce and support for emerging artists is minimal. I painted mainly to disconnect and express my emotions, but, honestly, I was already thinking about stopping. I had several finished works gathering dust in my studio and no hope of reaching someone who would really value them.
One day, while browsing aimlessly on Google looking for a gallery or international fair where I could try to show my work, I found something that caught my attention: CalleArte+. Although I was a bit skeptical at first, I decided to open a store, just to try it out. Without great expectations, I uploaded three of my paintings.
